How to write and submit a mimi-proposal to access vendor proprietary
documentation.
Mini-Proposal
Each account holder affiliated with a college, university, or other
academic institution must send a mini-proposal along with the the
application for document access, whether the request is for new access
or an extension of access previously granted.
The account number must appear in the body of the e-mail message
accompanying your proposal, not in your proposal: not even on the
cover sheet.
Proposals are generally one to two pages in length but may be longer
to completely describe the project, and contain:
-
Project description.
-
Requested fabrication process.
-
Packaging requirements.
-
Estimated project size (length and width).
-
Fabrication plan.
-
Test and characterization plans.
If you require access to more than one fabrication process, submit a
separate proposal for each.
Include a cover sheet (not part of the page count) with your proposal:
Request for Document Access
(include name of fabrication process you wish to access)
