ARM Library Access for Universities

ARM makes its standard cells, I/O libraries, and memory generators for selected processes available to universities for research, and does not permit their use for classroom projects.
Universities can access the complete front-end views of core, I/O cells, and memory generators (behavioral, synthesis, simulation, place, and route) for the above processes. GDS layouts are not distributed to university users, instead these are instantiated by MOSIS prior to fabrication.
To obtain access to the ARM library (for TSMC or IBM processes)

  1. Have an active account with MOSIS. This is a prerequisite and cannot be waived. Instructions on how to create an account are avilable on the MOSIS web site.

  2. Complete and sign the ARM license agreement for IBM, or ARM license agreement for TSMC. Send two copies, each with original signatures, by mail to MOSIS. Keep the Appendix A (the tape-out sheet) until you have submitted a project for fabrication. After you submit your layout, send Appendix A to MOSIS by fax to 310-823-5624 with the design number, the names of the products used, and the version numbers.

  3. Access to these materials by educational institutions depends on respect for the private and confidential nature of documents released by industrial concerns for restricted distribution. If not already done, the faculty account liaison will need to
Copies of completed agreements, all with original signatures should be sent to:
