Mini-Proposal
How to write and submit a mimi-proposal to access vendor proprietary documentation.

Each account holder affiliated with a college, university, or other academic institution must send a mini-proposal along with the application for document access, whether the request is for new access or an extension of access previously granted.
The account number must appear in the body of the e-mail message accompanying your proposal, not in your proposal: not even on the cover sheet.
Proposals are generally one to two pages in length but may be longer to completely describe the project, and contain:
-
Project description.
-
Requested fabrication process.
-
Packaging requirements.
-
Estimated project size (length and width).
-
Fabrication plan.
-
Test and characterization plans.
If you require access to more than one fabrication process, submit a separate proposal for each.
Include a cover sheet (not part of the page count) with your proposal:
Request for Document Access (include name of fabrication process you wish to access)
Project Title
Prepared by: (list of students and faculty involved)
Institution: (Name of the College/University and Department)
Upload the proposal, in PDF format, through the MOSIS Support System. in PDF format. For more information about the PDF format, see About Adobe PDF Format.
Be sure to mention in the accompanying e-mail message that the attached proposal is for document access, and not a proposal for fabrication through the MOSIS Educational Program (MEP).
