How to Apply for a Grant
INTRODUCTION
All projects charged to MEP Instructional accounts must be designed by
students in organized group classes.
To request a grant, submit an application at the beginning of each
semester or quarter for which you need fabrication.
Each grant is valid from October 1 through September 30. You may
submit designs during that time.
An unused balance at the end of the funding year will not carry over
into the next funding year.
ITEMS INCLUDED IN APPLICATION PACKAGE
Please read the instruction carefully before submitting your
application package. Missing or incomplete documents will impede the
review process.
Commercial Agreement
You only need to provide this once. Each institution needs to
establish an account by submitting a MOSIS customer agreement.
MEP Instructional Application
Provide administrative and technical contact information, and
fabrication plan. A student may not be the primary contact for
an account.
Course Description
The course description should contain an outline of the course in a
few short paragraphs and include how designing, fabricating, and
testing a chip is a significant part of it.
Background And Qualifications Of Professor
Provide enough background and qualification material (as, curriculum
vita, teaching history, list of publications and previous research
projects) to document the professor's ability to take on the research
being proposed
Send the printed copies along with the application.
The course description and professor's background and qualification
must be included with each enrollment form, even if information hasn't
changed since the last time you sent it to MOSIS.

Additional agreements are required for access to proprietary vendor
