Procedures and Guidelines
MEP Instructional Accounts
Procedures and guidelines for academic institutions accepted into the
MOSIS Educational Program, and have received their MEP instructional
account parameters from MOSIS.
Term and Responsibility
Each account is valid from October 1 through September 30. You may
submit designs during that time.
Each professor needs to establish an
account, and is responsible for administering their own account.
Renew An Account
Procedures and guidelines for re-newing an account established for
free fabrication of projects designed by students in VLSI design
classes.
Request Access to Vendor Rules and Documents
Procedures and guidelines to obtain access to vendor rules and
documents. The request must come from the account liaison.
Increase Allocation
MOSIS will consider a request to fabricate more designs than granted
in the initial allocation. Send your request to
support@mosis.com. Include
your account number, the additional amount of units, and a short
explanation as to why you need additional units.
Change Liaison
Send your change account liaison request to
support@mosis.com. Include the
account number and current password, the name of the out-going
professor, the comlete name, address, phone number, fax number, and
e-mail address of the new liaison. Ideally, the message should be
sent by the out-going professor.
Request a Different Technology
Occasionally, an allocation can be transfered from one technology to
another. Send your request to
support@mosis.com. Be sure to
include your account number, the number of units you wish to transfer,
the name of the new technology. The new technology must be
a process
available to MEP Instructional accounts. The request must come
from the account liaison.
Reactivate Document Access
Document access is granted for a term not to exceed 12 months. To
extend the term, complete and mail the
Academic Account Document Access Application to MOSIS. In some
instances, a Mini-Proposal
may be requested.
Lost Password or Account Number
Send your request to
support@mosis.com. This
request must come from the account liaison.
How to Obtain Account Status
You can generate a date report online.
The
Account Status is available only through the
secure site.
Accounting is given in TinyChip units, not dollars, and includes your
account number, identification information, and expiration date.
Reporting Requirements
All participants in the MOSIS Educational Program are required to
submit a report for each design submitted for fabrcation.
